Four things, four prices

What we tattoo, and what it costs.

Custom work drawn after a consultation, fine-line botanical in single needle, blackwork in solid fills, and a free half hour to work out which of those you actually want.

Cow parsley, photographed in black and white — close to how a fine-line piece is drawn.

What we do

Everything starts as a drawing, not a decision

There are four ways in. Whichever you pick, the first thing that happens is a conversation, and the second is a drawing made for you.

From £80 · hourly thereafter

Custom design

A piece drawn for you after a consultation, from palm-sized to half sleeve. You bring the idea and whatever references help; we draw it from scratch in the fortnight before your session and send it over before you come in.

— One round of changes included, usually more if we are being honest.
— Drawn onto a photograph of the placement, so it fits the body rather than the page.
— Large work is split across sessions and quoted as a whole before we start.

From £80 · most pieces 2–4 hours

Fine-line botanical

Delicate flowers, leaves and stems in single needle work, drawn by Nell from pressed studies. Thin lines ask more of the skin than they look like they do, so placement matters: forearms, calves and shoulder blades hold them best.

— 3RL and 5RL needles, no shading unless you want it.
— We will tell you honestly if a design is too fine to stay crisp where you want it.
— A free touch-up at eight weeks if a hairline has lifted.

£90 an hour · £550 a day

Blackwork

Bold solid black pieces and patterns, drawn by Joss. Bands, carved repeats, and shapes that use the skin left bare as much as the ink. Solid black takes longer to pack than people expect and heals slower, which we plan for rather than rush.

— Half sleeves are booked as two day sessions, four weeks apart.
— Cover-ups considered once we have seen the existing piece in person.
— Day rate includes a proper hour's break in the middle, not a sandwich at the chair.

Free · thirty minutes

Consultations

Thirty minutes, free, to talk through placement, size and price. Upstairs with a cup of tea, or on the phone if that is easier. No deposit is taken at a consultation and nobody will ask you to book at the end of one.

— Bring photographs of the spot it is going on if you can.
— We quote a range, not a guess, and hold that quote for ninety days.
— First tattoo? Say so when you book and we will leave extra time.

Why there is no price list on the wall

Two pieces the same size can be four hours apart in the chair. We would rather quote your drawing than a square inch.

The deposit policy, in full

£50 books your date and the drawing time that goes with it, and comes off the price of the session rather than being added to it.

— 72 hours' notice: we move you once and carry the deposit to the new date.
— Less than 72 hours, or a second move: the deposit stays with us. The drawing is already done by then.
— If we cancel on you, for any reason, the deposit comes back in full.
— Cash or card on the day. We do not take payment plans and will not pretend otherwise.

Step by step

What a booking looks like from your side

Roughly six weeks from first message to healed, most of it spent waiting rather than working.

01

You send the idea

Through the form, or ring the studio. Tell us roughly what, roughly where, and roughly how big. We reply within two days with a consultation time.

What you need: nothing but the idea.

02

Consultation, thirty minutes

Upstairs or on the phone. We talk placement, size, how it will age, and what it will cost. You will leave with a price range and an honest view on whether the idea works.

What you need: photo ID if you want to book on the spot.

03

Deposit and date

£50 holds a date four to eight weeks out, depending which of us is drawing. You get the date in writing the same day.

What you need: £50, card or cash.

04

The drawing comes to you

In the fortnight before your session. Changes are expected, not grudged — this is the point at which moving a stem costs nothing.

What you need: half an hour to look at it properly.

05

The session

Eat first, arrive on time, wear something that gets out of the way. Stencil, a last look in the mirror, then we start. Breaks whenever you want them.

What you need: ID, a drink, and something to watch or listen to.

06

Aftercare, explained twice

Out loud before you leave, and written down to take with you. We check in at two weeks, and the touch-up at eight weeks is free if it needs one.

What you need: the aftercare page, on your phone.

Still working out what you want?

That is exactly what the free half hour is for. Come and talk about it before anything is drawn or paid.
